In this one day accredited Makaton Workshop Level 1 course our team will learn the signs and symbols for Stages 1 & 2 of the Core Vocabulary of Makaton signs, plus half of the Additional Vocabulary. The course is very practical and interactive and will be delivered by a fully qualified Makaton tutor. Following the course our team will collectively be more confident and skilled in using Makaton as part of their everyday practice to give our children more tools to express themselves and build their language skills. Makaton is central to our approach of making our environment accessible for every child, fostering inclusivity by breaking down communication barriers and empowering children to initiate and engage in conversations, and making sure their opinions are expressed. This training paves the way for improved social interactions for children with peers and adults alike.
