One of our favourite trainers, Pete Moorhouse will be returning to our nursery to lead this CPD training event. As an artist educator and an early year’s creative consultant, Pete’s approach to Early Years aligns perfectly with our ethos and values. Over the years Pete has worked with our staff to enrich the programs we offer and to encourage our creative thinking through various provocations and longer-term projects. Pete brings his wealth of over 25 years experience, inspired by his visits and in-depth study of the Reggio Emilia approach, Froebelian principles and his research in Japan, New Zealand and USA. Pete is the author of several books including his latest book published by Routledge “Learning through Woodwork: Introducing Creative Woodwork in the Early Years” and has had several journal articles published in the educational press. He is currently working on Creativity in Practice: Nurturing Creative and Critical Thinking in Early Childhood Education. Pete is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Bristol currently researching creativity, critical thinking and reflective learning practice and assessment methods for monitoring creative progression. Pete offers our nursery bespoke training programmes to extend the learning of our team, in line with the values and principals of learning that we share.
