The Hearts and Hands Behind KatieB Kids
At KatieB Kids, our educators are the heart of everything we do. It is their warmth, knowledge and attentiveness that transform our philosophy into everyday experiences for children. Through thoughtful observation, meaningful relationships and a deep understanding of early childhood development, they create an environment where children feel safe, understood and inspired to explore.
Our team is made up of passionate early years professionals who share a commitment to nurturing confident, curious and emotionally secure children. Each educator brings their own strengths, experience and perspective, but all are united by the same purpose, to honour childhood and support every child to flourish.
To support children at each stage of their journey, our team works across two closely connected areas of the nursery. Together, they create the relationships, care and professional insight that make KatieB Kids the community it is.
Meet the Founder
Katie founded KatieB Kids in 2014 with a clear vision: to create a place where childhood is protected, curiosity is celebrated, and children feel deeply known and valued.
Originally trained as a physiotherapist, Katie spent her early career working alongside elite athletes and leading multidisciplinary healthcare teams across London. This experience shaped her understanding of how environments, relationships and professional expertise influence development and wellbeing.
When Katie became a mother, her perspective shifted. Experiencing the early years through her own children, including navigating complex needs within her family, deepened her commitment to understanding how early experiences shape confidence, resilience and identity. Rather than retraining alone, Katie chose to build something different, bringing together specialists in early childhood, inclusion and pedagogy to create a setting where children could truly flourish.
Today, Katie leads the vision and strategic direction of KatieB Kids, where the Let’s Nurture Futures™ framework guides a relationship-led approach to early education. Her focus is on creating environments where children feel secure, educators feel empowered and families feel connected. At its heart, KatieB Kids remains grounded in the belief that childhood should be joyful, meaningful and deeply respected.
Meet our Management Team
KatieB Kids is shaped by a leadership team whose expertise, insight and integrity guide the life of the nursery.
Together they bring decades of experience in early childhood education, inclusion and child development. Their work ensures that the environments children experience, the relationships they build and the learning opportunities they encounter are all grounded in thoughtful practice and professional knowledge.
Through reflective dialogue, ongoing professional development and a shared commitment to excellence, they support and mentor the wider team, strengthening the quality of education across the nursery. Their leadership ensures that the principles of Let’s Nurture Futures™ are not simply ideas, but practices lived every day.
